Jefferson Hendricks is a Professor of English and Film Studies at Centenary College of Louisiana, who teaches and writes about the intersection of modern American culture and progressive politics. He is also involved in advising the Centenary Film Society and the Kappa Epsilon chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. His special interest is the Spanish Civil War (1936-39) and its significance as a site of international resistance to the rise of Fascism. Some of his work in this field, in conjunction with Cary Nelson of the University of Illinois, includes Madrid 1937: Letters of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade From the Spanish Civil War (Routledge, 1996) and Edwin Rolfe: Collected Poems (U. of Illinois Press, 1993).
