Globalization, Mediation." William Mazzarella is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Chicago (PhD Berkeley, 2000). He is the author of Shoveling Smoke: Advertising and Globalization in Contemporary India (Duke, 2003), and of a number of recent articles including 'Culture, Globalization, Mediation' (Annual Reviews, 2004) and 'Internet X-Ray: Tehelka.com and the Politics of Immediation' (forthcoming, 2005). He is currently working on a series of topics at the intersection of publicity, affect, mediation, and censorship. |
