Leslie Gill: "The Unreal Thing: Coca-Cola Workers, Neoliberalism, and Political Violence in Colombia"

Lesley Gill teaches anthropology at American University. She has conducted extensive research in Latin America on political violence, neoliberalism, and gender relations. Her books include: Precarious Dependencies: Gender, Class and Domestic Service in Bolivia (Columbia, 1994), Teetering on the Rim: Global Restructuring, Daily Life and the Armed Retreat of the Bolivian State (Columbia, 2000), and The School of the Americas: Military Training and Political Violence in the Americas (Duke, 2004).
