What is a Seminar? Each semester the Unit for Criticism sponsors a Criticism Seminar. The seminar is a non-credit faculty/graduate student reading group and generally meet five times per semester on Monday evenings from 8:00 - 10:00 pm. Topics change each semester and grow out of the interests and recommendations of Unit-affiliated faculty and students. Recent topics have included: Affect Theory, New Materialisms, The Cultural Politics of Neoliberalism, and Between the Secular and the Sacred. All are invited to attend, but those interested are encouraged to register by sending an email to unitcrit@uiuc.edu.
